Dimity Powell Writing Edventure

Dimity Powell Writing Edventure

Our prominent member and published writer Dimity Powell recently has been embarked on a writing adventure. Her aim is to create a story suitable for the digital format. Have you heard about the new mobile application or rather the new free app Story City App ? It is where your are the hero of your own story. Yes, it is true! You are given the chance to be a part of your own adventure across several locations – Brisbane, Adelaide and the Gold Coast. This application enables you to ‘quite literally smell the roses, or tread the pavement or in some harrowing cases, stave off mutant zombie cockroaches‘, giving you a lot of freedom of how to explore desirable location.

Dimity Powell has joined a team of highly creative professionals who are giving the users of the Story City App an opportunity to see the world differently. The group is quite diverse but nevertheless highly professional: Surfing Guru Tim Baker, Comic Artist  Ken Best, Verbal Disc Jockey Ben Brown, Cool tunes maestro Jed Walters and Obligatory female kids author Dimity Powell.

Read the latest publications via Dimity PowellStory City or from the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

Workshop with Deb Shearer

Workshop with Deb Shearer

On the 17th of March we had a very special workshop with Deb Shearer who is a Certified Raw Food Chef, Workshop facilitator, Teacher and Writer. Deb shared her experience in writing and publishing her recent recipe book – Delicious Raw Food. Deb shared her passion for row food and demonstrated how to cook her recipes, giving us opportunity to taste her creations. This was unusual workshop with a very unconventional approach of how to write, publish and market a recipe book.

Thank you Deb Shearer!

We really enjoyed your unique workshop.
